ALL OTHER ITEMS in our ONLINE STORE, such as, Cake and Candy Making Supplies, ETC. Are shipped by Priority Mail, or UPS. Whichever can give us the best service within the shipping cost parameters we have to work with.

How Much Does Shipping Cost?

The Shipping/Delivery and Handling Cost vary based on weight, size and destination.
In a continuing attempt to deliver our products, in a market of fluctuating fuel and transportation costs, we make every effort to keep our shipping rates as fair as possible. To accommodate all of our customers needs, our shipping rates are set up by zones and calculated on estimated weights. Unfortunately, the way shipping works in most cases, it costs as much to ship a one pound package as it does a 3 pound package. (Its no different than if you drive to the store for a candy bar or a whole bag of groceries, your car uses the same amount of gas.)

NOTE: Extra charges may apply for rerouting, redelivering, or reshipping if the address or information provided by you is incorrect. Please verify all your address information as the slightest error can result in not being able to make the delivery. Also keep in mind that packages CAN ONLY be shipped to P.O. Boxes buy USPS Priority Mail Service. We do ship to APO and FPO.

Shipping of Chocolate?

If you're considering ordering chocolate during the sultry days of summer, beware: it may melt. We only ship chocolate the months October thru March. As we can't be responsible for replacing melted chocolate, we strongly advise you to ship the chocolate portion of your order express to minimize melting risk. If you live in a warm climate consider having heat sensitive items sent with coolant packs. There will be a $3.50 charge added to your invoice for each coolant pack necessary to insure the product reaches its destination in perfect condition. Please contact us if you have any questions.

What About Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii?

Sorry we are unable to ship outside of the Continental United States at this time.

Does The Boarding House Offer International Shipping?

No! Sorry at this time we do not offer this service.

Will You Ship My Items By Air Transportation?

Our standard method of shipping is Ground Transportation. We will ship 2nd and 3rd Day Air as well as Overnight, if requested for an additional charge.

How Do You Get A Copy Of An Invoice For Your Order?

You will receive a Sales Receipt with shipping & handling charges with a copy of your credit card charge slip with your shipment.

When Does The Boarding House Charge Your Credit Card?

Your credit card is charged on the day your items are shipped or delivered. To provide you with the highest security possible we do not process credit card charges on line. All charges are manually processed in our store.

Why Would Your Credit Card Be Declined If
There Are Sufficient Funds In My Account?

In order to protect our customers from fraudulent transactions, the billing address you list on your order must match the address that your credit card company sends your statement to. If the billing address listed on your order differs from your bank's records, you could be declined. Does The Boarding House Charge Sales Tax?

If we are shipping/delivering into the state of Ohio, there will be a 6.5% sales tax charged on nonfood items.

Please return as received in same packaging. If the item is not broken and nothing is missing, a refund will be issued minus shipping and handling cost.
